longgggg overdue birthday post

I've been neglecting this space for too long. Technology has made it too easy for us to access the Internet that I don't come online using my laptop anymore. And so yes, I hardly update this space. It's not impossible for updates from phones but it's just not my kind of thing especially if you've got lots to share. Okay, you can skip all that.

This shall be my birthday post. Maldives deserves a separate post. :)

I had a very simple 22nd last year. But it made me realise that it's the simplest things in life that makes you happy. The girls and my boyfriend came to surprise me on 4th Dec when everyone was still in Singapore. And I tell you, I never felt so dumb before! hahaha. I seriously had no idea that they'll came over. Chee hon told me to wait for a present that he ordered with him at my house's life lobby. And the present never came. Then he told me to go home first and that the delivery man would call him when he reached. Then I was like.. "you could've done that just now, why make me come down in the first place.", still unsuspicious. And when I was outside my house, I saw 3 pairs for shoes. And because I just saw my bro's friends downstairs, I thought they came up to look for my brother. Smart me just came up with a good reason for my boyfriend who didn't had to explain the presence of the shoes. And they screamed Happy Birthday when I entered. & timid me was shocked. hahahaha. So thankful for this bunch of girls who made University so different. :)

Boyfriend bought a cake and came to my house to celebrate with me 2 days before the actual day. But he also spent the actual day with me la. hahaha. He had lots of plans to surprise me and the secret dinner place but I fell sick a few days before my birthday. So he couldn't carry out all his plans. A bit disappointed but that boy happily says he can take me to the place on V day. Good for him la, don't have to think of another nice restaurant. hahaha. I made him buy balloons for me. I don't know about other people, who probably think that taking balloons is embarrassing especially at places where there're lots of people. But I love balloons. I'll be a hppy girl even if I have one helium balloon. keke. I'm not an attention seeker k, just like balloons cos they're so cute especially if they can "fly". :D

Dinner was a simple one with my family. :)

Another year passed. And every year, there'll always be something for me to reflect and talk about on this day. But in 2012, I've probably grown a little more, grown more appreciative of the people around me. I felt blessed & I'm thankful for everything and everyone who happened to me. <3 A simple birthday but I felt so much warmth, 19 Dec 2012. :)
